The ICU initiates medical management for patient’s hyperkalemia. They are having difficulty oxygenating the patient despite maximal ventilator settings, and he remains on norepinephrine for blood pressure support. 24-hour fluid intake is 4.7L, and urine output is 20mL. The patient’s intake/output balance is positive 11L since admission.
