A 7 year old boy is brought to your clinic by his parents. They have noted that his face looks more swollen than usual, which they attribute to seasonal allergies. They also note his appetite has decreased, and he has not expressed interested in activities he typically enjoys. They inform you he had a viral illness a few weeks ago that presented with fever and sore throat, but since then those symptoms have resolved.

He has an older sister and lives with his parents and their dog, Spot. Other than a daily multivitamin, occasional antihistamines, and acetaminophen a few weeks ago for the fever, he does not take any medications.

The boy tells you that he feels tired and that his legs feel heavy, but otherwise he does not have any complaints.
