History of Present Illness (HPI)

A 50 year old woman with no history of medical illnesses presents with dry eyes and dry mouth for the past several months. Recently, she has also begun to complain of nausea and difficulty walking or standing due to weakness. She does not have fever, chest pain, shortness of breath, abdominal pain, diarrhea, urinary symptoms, or rash.

Her medications are famotidine 20 mg daily as needed for gastrointestinal symptoms and acetaminophen as needed for muscle aches. She reports a history of autoimmune diseases in her family, but does know any other details.
