History of Present Illness (HPI)
A 63 year old man with PMH end stage kidney disease (ESKD) due to diabetic nephropathy and hypertension presents to the dialysis unit for his scheduled hemodialysis treatment on Friday morning. He feels well today and does not have any complaints other than occasional fatigue. He does not have fever, nausea, vomiting, chest pain, abdominal pain, or extremity swelling. He denies any pain or discomfort at the site of his arteriovenous fistula (AVF).
